Dad, Can We Talk

Life on Earth is a long journey with times of joy and times of sadness, but if a family faces challenges as a well-oiled machine operating as a strong, bonded unit under the loving, protective eyes of God, that family will stay together and cannot be defeated.

This book deals with the relationship between parents and their children as the children, though still young, send signals that it’s time for parents to have that deep discussion about sex and some of the challenges of life in general. Many parents fear this discussion because many are afraid their children may perceive their parents as hypocrites. Some parents have learned the hard way and don’t feel their past was a perfect model to use as a leading by example. Jason and Monica decide to teach from the Bible to show their children that God has outlined the Christian way to live. They believe that by encouraging their children to build a strong relationship with God and obeying His word, they will avoid the pitfalls of the devil’s temptation. They also feel that through communication between parent and child, a strong relationship between them will form, and that bond will induce a stronger trust and love that a family needs for protection and survival in today’s world. The content of this book was designed to provide some guidance to parents and their children on a way to communicate with each other and deal effectively with a few sensitive and often embarrassing subjects to openly talk about even between family members. After all, what is the right age to talk about the Birds and the Bees or sex?
